Chanel Spring 2010 = The Clogs | Highsnobette.com: "Chanel’s Spring 2010 read-to-wear collection was very Chanel-y (read my great editorial stylings and WEEP, Vogue), in other words, lotsa lace, perfect jackets and tons of frou-frou, mademoiselle-on-the-verge dresses. The big newness story was the clogs the models wore, many of which matched the fabrics of the dresses they were paired with. At first I was like, yuck, what in the hell is this high-heeled Ecco nightmare? But then I came around and I am at the point of somewhat feeling this look. One way or another, it looks like there’s gonna be a lot of wooden heels being flashed this Spring."

Very Eary?

The Ear: A Short Film By Yi Zhou featuring Pharrell Williams | Hypebeast: "Inspired to Gogols short story, entitled The Nose, from the Petersburg tales, Yi has written her latest short film about the absurd story of the loss of an ear. The ear is actually the key element of the film, shot in RED and partly to be made in 3D animation. Throughout the film, the ear and inner ear as a whole turn themselves into an EarBridge as they get crossed by a bridge. The EarBridge is part of a public project proposal for Baku, Azerbaijan that includes a number of important international contemporary artists. The Ear features Pharrell Williams, music by Ennio Morricone, and costumes by Rick Owens and BBC/Ice Cream."

Hermes Pastelle I pass the Dressing

Hermès Spring 2010 Men's: Menswear Fashion Collections on men.style.com: "'I don't do fashion, I do clothes,' Hermès menswear designer Véronique Nichanian told the French newspaper Libération today. It's such modesty that makes her collections so seemingly unprepossessing, but, paradoxically, so desirable. The most flattering, straightforward clothes in the best fabrics money can buy: Why make things any more complicated? That's where Nichanian's skill as a designer comes into play. Sure, she makes clothes, but she adds just enough fashion to seduce—and reassure. This season's color palette was dark, earthy shades of taupe, slate, bronze, and a deep greenish shade she called 'verdigris,' which Nichanian showed in seersucker as well as calfskin. They were sophisticated hues, but they weren't scary. (That function was filled by the hit of apple green in a big cashmere pullover or a shirt layered under a bronze leather overshirt.) The designer also adjusted proportions—slightly cropping pants, upping the volume of jackets and knitwear—to emphasize stylish ease. And she showed her dressiest looks—suits in black and bronze linen—with sandals. Maybe that look is a bare necessity in Nichanian's eyes, but the guy who wears it will be looking mighty fashionable come next summer.

Claude Corbin - Photographer Biography, Photography - photo.net: "1960's: Got my first camera, a Kodak Brownie. Discovered taking pictures could be fun.
1970's: Got first SLR after our son was born. Absolutely had to have better pictures, and lots of them. Joined Camera Club.
1980's: Built darkroom after moving into our house. Labored on slide to prints processing.
1990's: Discovered the Web, and how to build websites. Still doing that.
2000's: Trying to get all my slides in digital format.

I don't take many pictures anymore, except when we travel. But I am having fun going through all my old slides, and finding that - with a bit of work - quite a few 'ugly ducklings' can hide a fairly cute swan."
