Photography

Hampstead Heath by Chris Rochelle
by sabine7 / December 29, 2009
Chris Rochelle uses a Photo Porst Quarter Plate Camera from 1896 and coats the plates with a film emulsion to produce images such as the ones that make up his 2005/2009 series Hampstead Heath. Rochelle explains the project, "I hope to explore and investigate the fictional spheres that accompany early photographic experimentation, and consequently engage in the argument of Spiritualism in the wake of Materialism. While some of the images reveal the entire plate and all of the images began as straight landscape shots, other images are made re-photographing areas of the developed glass plate--small details the size of a needle tip, edges, corners--frames within frames. The final prints are 10x15in. to 40x60in."

Opening Ceremony Pt. II

Inspired by his explosive resort 2009 collection Chistopher Kane collaborates with Opening Ceremony fo a capsule collection of tees and dresses titled `Bombs Away` featuring atomic graphics from the 50`s and 70`s test bombings. Via cyana.

Opening Ceremony

Here’s a look at the latest Opening Ceremony Lookbook shoot, complete with a complementary behind the scenes video. Photographed by David Sherry and styled by Benjamin Sturgill, the Spring collection for 2010 takes on a casual style, with the shoot itself playing with simple, faded and transposed imagery atop of a single colour background, so as not to detract from the apparel. Expect a release of the extensive collection, accordingly, this Spring.

Jay-Z-On to the next One

Dope video. Ok my turn on the "Illuminati ish" Jay-Z is not dissing jesus in anything but he is a business man so he likes to do things where it wudd draw attention to marketing and what not so in this video it seems a lil wierd but its honestly just art. I mean he spitts stuff about religion and stuff just to see people go crazy over what he does hes always been like that ever since I have been listenin to Jay. Now im not sayin he shudd but hey what is hip hop if you cant express your thoughts right. Anyway 2010 is here and tht is all im saying.
