I Luv My City L.A. P. Rod x Ice Cube x Nike

History Im Tryna Make

I do stuff in my life where it'll hurt me more than it hurts anyone else, if I sit around talkin all day about I wanna do this and do that but I actually dont put in the work than I wont be able to actually get to do what I want to do in my life. Success is not poppin tags every weekend or drinking or smoking or even getting the notoriety of doing something that everyone respects and likes you for. Success is be able to achieve an impossible dream you had ever since you were a kid and you dreamed that certain dream, it could be being a manager at McDonalds or even being the first person to invent the time machine. When I say people dont understand me they dont, not even my mom understands me fully only person who knows is Jesus Christ. My dream had been to have a huge positive influence on this world so much that even when I do people put into practice whatthey have learned from them, something that will be passed down to all the next generations. Like Alexander the great yet Im not trying to conquer the world, I dont want to be a king or anything of that sort I wanna be some one who used their life to fullest and didnt waste it when I could have did more. One of my friends is 19 and is a Senior in college like he didnt waste anytime, made me think like man I only have so long until I am called home to meet my father, so I have to cut all distractions, and focus. So in advance you are welcome.

The Work of Rory Kurtz | flylyf: "[Portfolio update] Rory Kurtz has been illustrating since he was old enough to hold a crayon. Self-taught and focusing in pencil, ink, and digital paint, Rory has carved out his niche as a unique voice in the illustration community. Working with digital media allows his paintings a greater amount of versatility, and faster production time, which makes all the difference when meeting deadlines. His influences are spread out across the respective wolds of literature, fashion, art, film, & music. His work isn’t necessarily easy to define, as he tends to shift from one style to the next and back again as fits the assignment, but the individual pieces seem unified by a shared sense of fantasy in a modern reality."

Shoe Lust: Givenchy Spring/Summer 2010! | Highsnobette.com: "For Spring ‘10 Riccardo Tisci sent his models down the runway in sky- high wedges, in black, white, nude and a great interpretation of what looks like a mix of African and Keffiyeh print. I’m more of a platform stiletto girl but these wedges just work! More beauties from Givenchy Spring/Summer 2010 on the next page.Via style. The apparel is on point too"

Viktor & Rolf - Designer Fashion Label: "Mixing the drama of grandly staged opera with the precision-chic of Paris couture, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren are some of the industry’s most famous—and often—unpredictable—showmen. Too arty to place in the just-fashion category and too fashion-y to simply be called artists, they meld the two like few others. Collections are never boring affairs, and shows employ fantastical techniques, whether it’s models wearing their own cumbersome lighting structures or clothing presented upside down. In 2003, the Dutch duo sent Tilda Swinton and model look-alikes onstage in their “One Woman Show,” and famously in 2005, while Tori Amos played the piano and crooned onstage, they showed dresses and suits with collars that appeared to be attached to fluffy pillows, and coats that doubled as down comforters. The year 2008 was a big one for the mild-mannered Dutch duo: The Barbican in London held a well-attended retrospective of their work, Diesel’s Renzo Rosso—who already controls Dsquared, Maison Martin Margiela, and Sophia Kokosalaki, among others—took a controlling stake in the brand, and for their spring 2009 show, the boys paved new fashion-show territory by forgoing a live runway and opting instead to broadcast via Internet—with model Shalom Harlow (the only model they used) and a slew of pixels to spice things up. If you put aside the theatrics—and sometimes this is tough to do—it’s clear that there are real clothes here, and the fashion community’s ongoing support is evidence of that."

Junya Watanabe Spring 2010 Men's: Menswear Fashion Collections on men.style.com: "There's a lot to be said for face value in fashion, but it rarely gets said when Japanese designers are the subject. They contribute almost nothing to the dialogue, preferring to let their work do the talking for them. Unfortunately, the way they approach that work is so loaded with nuance that the hapless Westerner is left drowning in self-imposed subtext, especially when the designer at hand is the cheerfully gnomic Junya Watanabe. He has always insisted that his menswear is driven by nostalgia. His new collection felt even more so, like a relatively straight gander at a certain patrician style of dressing. (He described it as 'snobbish.') From the first passage—plaid jacket, white pants, foulard with pocket square, correspondents—the look was rakish gent. A tan shorts suit looked like a modern take on golfing plus-fours (with a lot of help from the flat cap), and Junya's latest strategic alliance—with Scottish raincoat legend Mackintosh—was another clue to his protagonist's heartland."
